Apple turnovers
Delightful to taste and crunchy and soft in texture, classic apple turnovers are actually really quite simple to make. Yum!
Ingredients:
- 4 medium apples (go with your favourite apple for baking), peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- Salt
- 1 packet of puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
