Broccoli and parmesan pasta
A simple weekday meal that’s easy to whip up for those times when you don’t feel like spending hours in the kitchen.
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- 5 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cups of broccoli florets
- 2 cups orecchiette pasta
- Salt and pepper, to season
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese, to garnish
Method:
1. Following packet instructions, cook pasta in a pot of salted, boiling water until al dente.
2. Meanwhile, heat oil in large frying pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add broccoli to pan and season with salt and pepper Cook, tossing broccoli to coat with oil, for about 5 minutes or until broccoli is cooked but not tender.
3. Add cooked pasta into pan and toss to coat. Garnish with parmesan cheese. Serve.
