Good news! Coles has just set the record straight on its hot roast chicken policy

Coles has reassured shoppers that the supermarket’s little-known policy that allows customers to score a free roast chicken voucher is still in place.

Coles’ hot roast chicken promise offers customers the opportunity to obtain a voucher for a free chook if there are none available in store from 11 am until closing time.

However, questions have been raised on social media sites amid rumours that the policy is being phased out. Some shoppers claimed that the offer is now only valid at stores that display the sign alerting customers to the policy, while others said it applies across Australia with the exception of Queensland. Some also said it is only available during certain hours.

In response to the speculation, Coles told New Idea Food that they had recently relaunched the Coles Hot Roast Chicken Promise.

The supermarket giant confirmed that the program is available in all stores nationwide to all shoppers.

“We know customers love to get their hands on our delicious hot roast chickens, so for customers who aren’t able to purchase one at the time they want within the period specified in-store, we can provide them with a voucher for a free hot roast chicken,” a spokesperson said.
