Healthy pizza
Who said pizza had to be unhealthy? Swap your base for a wholemeal pita bread and add a few veggies and basil and you have a tasty yet wholesome meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 large round wholemeal pita bread
- 1 sachet pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups grated mozzarella
- 3 mushrooms, sliced
- 1 capsicum, thickly sliced
- ½ cup olives
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Basil leaves, to serve
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 240°C.
2. Place base on an oven tray. Spread tomato pizza sauce over base roughly working to the edge around the base. Do the same with the mozzarella.
3. Arrange mushrooms, tomato, capsicum and olives over pizza.
4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
5. Remove from oven. Top with basil and serve.
