Healthy (and delicious) fruit smoothies
Sometimes between meals, you get a craving for something that’s going to fill you up a little, but isn’t actually food. A lot of the, time, we’ll make ourselves a cup of coffee when that happens, but maybe you should try one of these quick, nutritious, and delicious smoothies instead.
Kiwifruit and rockmelon
Ingredients:
- 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and chopped into pieces
- 1 kiwifruit, peeled and chopped into pieces
- 1 ¾ cups rockmelon pieces
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup ice cubes
Method:
- Place the fruit, honey, and lemon juice into a blender, and blend until smooth.
- Add the ice cubes and blend until the smoothie is a slushy, icy consistency.
Strawberry and banana
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- ¾ cup strawberries
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 cup of milk
- ¼ cup of ice
Method:
- Place all ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth.
