Wholemeal date and walnut loaf
This healthy homemade treat is the ideal way to spend a Sunday afternoon getting the little ones involved in the cooking process.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 50 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
- 3 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 1 cup wholemeal flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Spray oil
- Icing sugar for dusting
