Woolworths left red-faced over huge spelling mistake on popular item

Woolworths have been left red-faced after a shopper pointed out a massive mistake on one of their most popular products.

Taking to Facebook, customer Melissa posted a photo of the supermarket’s own brand Multigrain bread as she pointed out a spelling mistake most people would have missed.

“Not sure if you are aware of the spelling mistake?” she wrote.

Once you dive a little deeper, you can see that “Multigrain” contains an extra “i” in the bread’s main label – making it “Mulitigrain”.

This isn’t the first time the supermarket giant has failed to proofread the words on their packaging. In December, Woolworths’ festive beer stubbies had to be recalled when “Christmas” was misspelt to read “Christhmas”.
