Transform your luggage with paint
No more craning your neck to find your identical boring bag. Revamp your vintage luggage with paint with this easy DIY tutorial.
You will need:
- Luggage (works best on vintage hard luggage)
- Acrylic paint in a variety of colours
- Stencils
- Paint brushes
- Sponge brush
How to:
- Tape off all areas you don’t want to cover with paint. Wipe down the outside of your case.
- Cover the entirety of your luggage’s canvas in your base colour using your paint brush. This should take about two coats of paint depending on the quality of your product.
- Should you choose to paint soft luggage, you might try skipping the base paint and move on to the next step.
- Let dry. Tape on stencil and stencil any design over your luggage using your sponge brush, or, if you’re a good artist, free hand a design using a small brush.
- Remove stencil and let dry. Never confuse your luggage again!
