Veteran entertainment journalist Angela Bishop took the time to reflect on losing her husband, Peter Baikie, on what would have been their 18th wedding anniversary.

Baikie died in 2013 after a long battle with cancer and Bishop took the time to honour her late husband over the weekend.

"Today would have been our 16th wedding anniversary. We probably wouldn't have done anything too fancy, maybe a nice dinner at one of our favourite restaurants," the touching Instagram post starts.

"Amelia would have come along (with her personal supply of tomato sauce) and we would have laughed, shared stories about our early days of dating, and told her what a magical time our wedding day was.

"I am grateful for all the wonderful days we had, but I will forever wish we could have had more ❤️."

Her famous friends rallied around her, offering their support.

A Current Affair host, Tracy Grimshaw posted, "I'm glad you had those times Ang, and I wish you were still having them. Big hug xx,".

Her fans also posted messages of condolences.

"He was a good man. He loved you and your life. You were lucky. Until you weren’t. But no one has the memories you have. Xx," one fan wrote.
