Chris Hemsworth addresses rocky marriage rumours
Chris Hemsworth has become one of our biggest exports thanks to starring roles in films like Thor and The Avengers, but as is often the case with growing stars, that attention comes with major media scrutiny.
And the star of the upcoming film 12 Strong seems as though he’s sick to death with media rumours that his ‘tumultuous’ marriage with Elsa Pataky is on the rocks.
The 34-year-old spoke to The Times this week, admitting that he avoided reading into rumours like this as they were a source of major irritation.
“I just try to ignore it.” Hemsworth said.
“I stay off the internet but occasionally someone says to me, ‘You might want to react to this one.’ Most of the time I'm like, ‘Why did you even tell me that? There's nothing I can do about it. It just p**ses me off.’”
Hemsworth was also quick to note how his career had taken a toll on his family, and how Pataky had been solid in her support of the actor.
“My wife and I fell in love, had kids, didn't really see each other for a few years, then fell back in love,” the former Home and Away star told GQ in October
“In terms of work, (Elsa has) certainly given up more than I have.”
