Kate Ritchie breaks her silence on marriage split rumours
For months, former Home and Away star Kate Ritchie and her husband of seven years, ex-NRL player Stuart Webb, have been the subject of constant split rumours. Now, the 39-year-old has finally broken her silence.
“It doesn’t hurt my feelings, not anymore,” she told Stellar magazine. “I think in the old days it did. There’s no point in getting bogged down about what other people think is happening in my life.”
While the ACRA-winning radio host is understandably fed up with the constant scrutiny, she conceded it was still nowhere near as bad as what her friend and former Home and Away co-star Bec Hewitt cops from the glossy mags.
“The only positive in having the magazines write about my love life is that I know the Hewitts are getting a week off,” she joked, adding that she often laughs about the rumours with Bec, who has been married to tennis champ Lleyton for 12 years.
Ritchie, who is one-third of Nova’s drive time radio show Kate, Tim and Marty, welcomed her first child (a daughter named Mae) with Stuart in August 2014 and says she wouldn’t rule out adding to her brood.
“Having children is a wonderful distraction from yourself, and also opens up a brand-new world that is far greater than anything,” she said.
