Sunrise host Kochie has paid tribute to his wife Libby as the couple celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary. The TV host gushed over his “gorgeous” wife, who married in 1979 and now have four children together.

“Big kiss, happy anniversary to Lib. This day 43-years-ago these crazy kids got hitched. So big kiss and big hug,” he said.

“And two years later Sam Mac was born, but not to us,” Kochie joked, wishing weatherman Sam Mac a happy birthday.

When Edwina Bartholomew asked Kochie how the couple plan to celebrate, he replied: “We went out last night, so that’a a tradition.”

Nat Barr said “Congratulations you two,” with Kochie adding “she’s gorgeous”.

Speaking to New Idea last year, Kochie detailed the moment the pair first locked eyes, saying it was “love at first sight”.

“We always had so much in common. We have a similar sense of humour and we’re both family-oriented, having come from very close families,” he said.

“We have a sense of adventure through travel, and we’ve always liked the same things and been passionate about them.”

The couple tied the knot in Sydney on January 20th, 1979, with Kochie also sharing in the interview that the pair have a “fiery” relationship.

Now, the couple have eight grandkids to dote over, with Kochie telling Woman’s Day, watching his whole family together is “the greatest joy in our lives”.
