Never-before-seen photo from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding
A never-before-seen photo from Prince William and Kate Middleton’ wedding has been shared by a royal superfan.
The black and white photo shows the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge beaming with joy in their wedding attire as they sit side-by-side after celebrating their nuptials in 2011.
Sharing the photograph on the royal fan account @royalinstablog, the fan said, “Never seen before image of The Prince and Princess of Wales on their wedding day. They shared this image in their 2011 Christmas card.”
The post has racked up over 10,000 likes, with royal fans commenting on how memorable their royal wedding was.
One person wrote, “This is darling! There are probably so many more sweet images they hold near and dear.”
Another said, “Very regal indeed. She's truly a treasure.”
“I remember their wedding day so well!” wrote another.
Prince William and Kate walked down the hallowed aisle of Westminster Abbey on April 29th 2011, where they said 'I do' in front of 2,000 guests, as the rest of the world looked on.
The ceremony, performed by the then Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, was watched by 36.7 million people worldwide as Kate Middleton, then 29, wore a £250,000 gown by Alexander McQueen.
In the photo, the royals appear like any newly married couple, beaming at the camera with elation following the wedding ceremony.
The royal fan account which shared the snap commented, “Someone who got the card is selling it on eBay for $3k.”
