Paul Burrell reveals Princess Diana’s last words to him
Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell emotionally revealed Diana’s last words to him on last night’s episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.
Although he did not reveal the location of where he sat with Diana's body, he tearily explained to the Real Housewife’s Jackie Gillies that he had pleaded for the princess to open her eyes after her tragic death in 1997.
"When she died, I sat with her, I held her hand and I said to her 'wake up, wake up, you're not really dead are you? You're still alive and you're playing a trick on me'," Paul said.
"She didn't open her eyes and I said, 'Why did you leave me here? Why didn't you take me with you because my place is to look after you’
"I realised I had to take care of what she'd left behind here," Paul continued. "She couldn't do that and she left me to do that, so I had to take care of her world and the people in it."

Paul then revealed Diana’s last words to him while she was on the phone to him in Paris.
"The last things she said to me, were on the phone," he said. "She was in Paris and the very last words were, 'Promise me you will always be there.'
"I said, 'I promise I will always be there'."
He also opened up about his fears that as time goes on that his memory of Diana “will fade”.
"I'm beginning to forget what her voice sounded like and forget what she smelt like," he said crying. "I don't want to forget that."
He broke down, admitting for the longest time he wished “she had taken him”.
But when he eventually met the “love of his life” he said he believes it was Diana who sent him to make him happy.
