Victoria Beckham shares rare footage of wedding with David
The Beckhams, those famous and fabulous folks, have graced the world with their presence for ages, and we just can't get enough of them!
Way back in 1997, David Beckham, the football heartthrob, mustered up the courage to ask Spice Girl Victoria Adams out on a date. Little did we know that this would kick-start a legacy that would make even the Kardashians jealous.
Fast forward to today, and they've been married for more than two decades! Four kids later, they're still hogging the headlines and making us regular folks feel like underachievers.
Now, their little girl Harper is 11, and their sons Cruz, Romeo, and Brooklyn are all grown up, with careers of their own. It's like they blinked, and their kids sprouted up faster than weeds in a garden!
To celebrate their mind-boggling 24th wedding anniversary, Victoria Beckham decided to share a sneak peek of their iconic nuptials. She blessed us with a video on Instagram, taking us back to 1999, when they had a wedding reception fit for the legends they are.
Imagine this: Victoria and David, decked out in matching purple outfits, throwing a Robin Hood-themed bash. And what better way to cut the cake than with a sword? That's right, a sword! Who needs a regular old knife when you can slay a cake like a mediaeval hero?
In the video, we witness the lovebirds embracing and smooching as they slice through layers of cake, surrounded by their famous friends. Even Peter Schmeichel, Beckham's ex-teammate, was there, clapping along like a proud uncle.
In a heartwarming Instagram caption, Victoria wrote, "4.7.99 💕💕💕24 years ago. I love you so much @DavidBeckham." Aw, she's still head over heels for her man.
She also posted some more recent photos, showing off their infamous PDA in the form of hand-holding. "Still holding hands and still laughing (with you not just at you😂) I love you so much @davidbeckham xx" she added.
Of course, David couldn't let Victoria have all the fun, so he took to Instagram too. He posted an adorable throwback picture of their early days of dating, complete with their youthful faces and some cute puppy pals. Ah, young love and puppies – what more could you ask for?
David couldn't resist pouring his heart out in the caption, "On this day 4.7.99 ❤️ 24 years and counting 👵🏼 👴🏼 To the best wife, mummy & drinking partner (most of the time 🤪) Happy Anniversary love u so much ❤️." Well, David, we're glad to know that you've found the perfect drinking buddy in your wife. Cheers to that!
The cherry on top? He tagged Victoria and all four of their children, just in case anyone forgot how blessed their gene pool is. Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper Seven must have the Beckham DNA to thank for their undeniable good looks and natural coolness.
