Why Princess Beatrice will not get her dream destination wedding
After months of rumours regarding where Princess Beatrice and her fiancé would wed, it is reported the royal is opting for her wedding to be held in the UK so her grandmother, the Queen, can attend.
The 31-year-old Princess will say her vows to her multi-millionaire property developer fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on May 29.
It was rumoured for many months that Princess Beatrice wanted to marry in Italy in a star-studded wedding, but pair have since seemed to cancel their plans to marry abroad and instead stay near both their grandparent.
The Queen is adamant to attend her granddaughter’s wedding, but due to royal regulations, she is not able to take long haul flights any longer.
Prince Philip’s health is also a concern for the royal family, as he spent four days in hospital.
Prince Andrew has since stepped down from his royal duties after the televised interview with BBC's Emily Maitlis.
It is believed “the Queen has given permission” for the wedding and it is rumoured to be taking place at the Chapel Royal in St James’ Palace on May 29.
