Meet Jarryd Stoneman and his grandmother who’ve made videos together singing and enjoying life.
Jarryd’s grandmother, who has dementia, loves being part of his videos. They consistently receive thousands of views on the videos he uploads of the pair.
Jarryd is the full-caregiver of his nanny and has announced that his grandmother is retiring from Facebook and will no longer be appearing in his videos.
The announcement video was met with an outpouring of well wishes and the video has received more than 20, 000 views.
Hello 2017 and goodbye 2016 Reflecting back on the year that has just passed and I cannot help but feel blessed. Never would I of thought that posting a small clip of nanny and I dancing would have had this response. With well over 50 thousand shares ,14 million views, 90 thousand likes, and several thousand private messages and comments, the thought that it's touched that many people is humbling. The power that the video has is becoming clear to me and the platform that I was given I believe came with a purpose... To inspire more people to support, visit ,care and love the elderly! In Saying that I can confidently tell everyone that in 2017 My mission is to continue to try inspire and show people the importance of looking out for our elderly! So a big thank you to everyone that has been apart of myself and nannys life this year, it has been a pleasure sharing our journey with everyone. Jarryd’s nanny passed away age 94 in March this year.
