“My Dad’s Story” video is breaking hearts
Get the tissues ready, because this commercial is going to make you cry.
The MetLife Hong Kong ad starts innocently enough. Called “My Dad’s Story”, a cute little girl writes down all the wonderful and amazing things her father does for her: “he’s the smartest, the most clever, and the kindest" person. But then the ad takes a heartbreakingly emotional turn when we find out this little girl knows how much her dad is fighting to make ends meet. We then cut to the struggles the father faces every day after he drops his daughter off from school, and just like that, we see the immense sacrifice and struggle of parents who will do anything for their children.
It’s beautiful, poignant, and a reminder to appreciate your family.
