Another salmonella scare sparks a huge recall from supermarkets

A wide range of sweet and confectionery products have urgently been pulled from shelves at Woolworths, Coles and IGAs across the country due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand announced on Thursday a collection of Elite
branded items have been recalled to prevent people from potentially falling ill.

The recalled products include:

All batches have been recalled, regardless of their use-by date or batch number.

The products have been sold nationally at Coles, Woolworths, IGAs, 7/11, independent Kosher stores and Milk bars. Food Standards Australia New Zealand has told consumers not to eat these products, which can be returned to their place of purchase for a full refund.

Anyone concerned about salmonella should monitor for symptoms and seek medical advice.
