Do you use deodorant incorrectly?
Applying deodorant is part of our daily routines and something that we don’t really give much thought. Well now thanks to a new study that might change.
According to the new research we might all be applying it incorrectly. The study shows that for best results you should apply deodorant at night instead of in the morning. Why you might be wondering? It is all in the way antiperspirants work. As antiperspirant blocks sweat glands in the armpit, if you apply the product at night it allows it more time to be absorbed into the skin and thus create a stronger barrier against sweat and odor.
Even if you like to have your shower in the morning before you get dressed, apparently this will not wash off the antiperspirant as it will already be absorbed into the skin and working its magic.
So what happens if you do apply your deodorant after your morning shower? Well you would have already started sweating and thus deodorant will not work as effectively as it can no longer fully penetrate the sweat duct and act as a complete barrier to sweat and odor.
