Lleyton Hewitt’s former Adelaide mansion sells at a loss

Lleyton Hewitt’s former Adelaide mansion has changed hands yet again, this time at a $120,600 loss.

The glorious West Lakes home at 29 Martin Court went for $2.065 million - a little less than what the Australian tennis player sold it for in 2014, and much less $3.2 million he paid for it in 2003.

The three bedroom home features a pool and spa with sauna, three bars, a cinema room, and a feature waterfall among many other standout features.

Seller Emmanouel Pishas said he loved living in the 801sqm property but his new home in Prospect was a much better fit for his family.

“It was sad to sell it but for me it was more of an entertainment house than a family house,” he said.

“Every time my grandchildren came over there, they were inside.

“Basically the decision was made purely for my grandchildren.”

Ms Pishas said he fell in love with the house before buying it.

“When I walked through the front doors for the first time I knew straight away I needed to live here,” he said.

“I’ll miss it because of the tranquillity. If I sit up in my office … you can see the lake and the rowers. As a home office you can’t beat this – it’s amazing.”
