Readers respond: What's the weirdest thing a guest has done at your house?

We asked our readers what the weirdest thing a guest has done while staying at your house, and the response was overwhelming. Here's what you said:

Kathy Cranston Percy - Our friend helped us move so we offered to take her and her husband out for dinner to a nice restaurant.

He wanted steak and lobster, but the waitress informed him that they didn't have that combination on the menu.

He still wanted it, and without asking us he ordered two dinners - one steak dinner and one lobster dinner. We said nothing!

Nush Borowicz - Moved all my furniture around as they didn’t like the way I had it…. Then proceeded to tell me I had no idea. Hated the was they did it.

Michele Price - Put her jewellery under mattress, then forgot about doing that & reported stolen to police.

Finally remembering couple days later. Made us feel uncomfortable was glad for her to go!

Donna Dale - Laid out 6 large knives on his bedside table.

Cora Knapp Murray - Hung up a permanent hook on the back of the bathroom door without asking.

Katherine Harwood Everett - Removed artwork from my family room and put something else in its place. Who does that?

Kathleen Mcgoldrick - A guest dropped a full bottle of red wine all over a very expensive white doona and cover, and thought I wouldn't notice!!

Robyn Van de Wetering - Moved the bed around because he could only sleep in a bed facing a certain way.

Margot Draper Dalli - Someone visited my sister and brought all his dirty laundry and asked her to wash it.

Sandy Lewis - We had electric hot water heater. They ran a bath and sat in it all night long. Used up all the hot water for that day and used nearly ever towel on my linen press.

This was just one person. That was the 1st and last time they stayed in my house.

Reba Overton Smith - Gone through all my drawers in my bedroom and...hopped in bed with my husband when I was away.

Jennifer Puppa - Friend had relatives that ate a roast chicken in bed. Also took the new bed sheets with them.

Christine King - Washed their dog in my shower.

Sue Hickman Buckley - Filed their crusty feet at the dining room table.

Anna Little - Ripped off the wallpaper in my dining room while we were having a dinner party.
