4 bathroom hacks for your cruise cabin
All cruisers are aware that cruise ships generally have small bathrooms that are lacking in storage space. Before you go on your next cruise, follow these hacks to utilise your cabin’s bathroom space.
1. Pack a shoe organiser for storage
An old trick of many cruisers is to pack an over-the-door shoe organiser on their cruise. The shoe organiser is then used to fill the pockets with hairbrushes, makeup, jewellery and other beauty essentials. The shoe organisers are easily foldable to fit into your luggage.
2. Bring magnetic or suction hooks
If you are a traveller who gets frustrated when the only storage space in a shower is a tiny soap dish, then this hack is for you. To help accommodate multiple bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash, suction hooks can be placed inside the shower or on the door and walls of the bathroom. Some travellers hook elastic bands through the suction hooks and slide toiletry bottles through the bands.
3. Use a footrest to shave
For the ladies, it can be hard to shave your legs inside the cramped confines of a cruise shower. Some people stick their legs out of the shower and prop them on the toilet so that they can shave, however, not all travellers have their toilet near the shower. If you are concerned about how you might shave, use a footrest in the shower as an aid.
4. Use clothes pegs for shower curtain
To avoid having your shower curtain getting attached to your body as you shower, attach clothes pegs to the bottom of the curtain. It will act as an extra weight and stop the curtain from moving as you shower.
