Inside Pat Rafter’s $18 million beachfront mansion
Pat Rafter might be well-known for his exploits on the court, but a recent property deal seems to suggest the tennis great is just as savvy a customer off the court.
The two-time US open winner recently had a huge payday (even by his standards) selling his incredible beachfront property in Queensland for a whopping $18 million.
The jaw-dropping property, which you can see for yourself in the gallery above, has seven bedrooms, five bathrooms and enough space for three cars.
Rafter is reportedly set to relocate to Byron Bay in NSW with his family.
Rafter commented on the sale in an interview with The Australian last week, saying, “There’s been a few new barriers reached here and $5m to $9m sales are happening more regularly with a few over $10m now … This is a whole different category, but $18m — that’s what we spent on it.”
Take a look at the property in the gallery above. What do you think? Do you think Rafter is mad to part with it? Or is his justified looking for something a little simpler?
