Inside the $8 million home of Karl Stefanovic's ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn

To say the last 12 months have been rough for Cassandra Thorburn would be the understatement of 2017. But now, as the 46-year-old continues to make sense of her split with Today host Karl Stefanovic, reports have suggested that as part of the separation Thorburn has landed a stunning $8 million mansion in the Sydney suburb of Cremorne.

Thorburn is reportedly living in the lavish property with the divorced couple’s three children, Jackson, 18, Ava, 12 and River, 10, which reportedly has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two kitchens and a swimming pool.

Thorburn opened up to Woman’s Day about the separation, describing “dark times”, and even telling the magazine the split had felt, “like someone had died”.

“There were days in the beginning I would get up, put on a brave face and drop the kids at school, then I’d get to the back door and I would lie in a heap for the rest of the day unable to move — there were very dark days,” she told the magazine.

“I was completely gazumped when I realised Karl had gone.

“I questioned and doubted myself about everything.

“I slept on the couch in front of the fire for months because I didn’t want to go near the marital bed. I was in a very dark place.”
