13 landmarks where selfies are banned

Taking a selfie at a tourist landmark has become the hallmark of every modern traveller, but it’s not necessarily one that’s been welcomed with open arms by locals.

With the proliferation of items like selfie sticks at sites that are already overcrowded, it’s becoming harder and harder to control tourists who want to take their vanity pics.

To see the attractions you’re not allowed to take a selfie at, scroll through the gallery above. There are a few on the list that will come as quite a surprise.

What do you think about taking selfies on holidays? Do you feel that it’s right for people to institute this ban, or is it a case of an overreaction?
