8 breathtaking images of the mighty brumby
Running free and unencumbered in some of the most scenic parts of Australia, brumbies are fascinating creatures that have an interesting role in the national psyche.
And as you can see in the gallery above, they’re beautiful.
In a photo essay for Australian Geographic, Jason Edwards flew his helicopter into some of the least accessible parts of Kosciusko National Park to observe these wild horse.
There’s something incredible about these images. The movement of the horses combined with the desolate beauty of the Australian landscape makes a memorable shot.
