The world’s worst airline for 2016 announced
Research firm Skytrax has released an annual list detailing some of the world’s worst sounding airlines, with North Korea’s Koryo Air named the world’s worst airline for a fourth year running.
Koryo Air is the only airline to receive a one-star rating from Skytrax (out of a possible five), with the research firm noting Soviet-era planes, rudimentary safety belts and questionable safety standards were the main factors behind the decision. Koryo Air is the state-owned carrier airline of North Korea and operates scheduled and charter services to various points in Asia and Europe.
