"Aggressive" Queensland woman removed from flight by Australian Federal Police
A Queensland woman has been escorted off a Jetstar flight by the Australian Federal Police after behaving in a distressing manner throughout the flight, which was travelling to Brisbane.
Reportedly, the 47-year-old screamed abuse at passengers and crew for the majority of the two-hour flight from Melbourne.
Passengers told 9News that the woman was singing and shouting so loudly that children began to cry.
Cabin crew and passengers attempted to intervene, but the woman swatted them away with a Bible she was holding.
Members of the Australian Federal Police boarded the flight when in landed it Brisbane and removed the woman from the plane.
Reportedly, the woman remained agitated inside the airport and began to shriek.
“Once in the terminal, the woman allegedly became agitated and aggressive and refused to comply with directions from AFP officers,” an Australian Federal Police spokesperson said.
“For the welfare of the woman, an ambulance was called and she was taken to hospital for physical and psychiatric assessment.”
Jetstar confirmed there was a “disruptive” passenger that was escorted off one of their flights after she “refused to follow crew instructions”.
