Australian beach among the best in world. Find out which spot it is!
Sancho bay in Brazil has been voted the best beach in the world by TripAdvisor users.
The 2015 Travellers’ Choice Award ranks the best beaches on the world based on the millions of reviews and ratings from travellers on TripAdvisor’s site.
The secluded Sancho bay requires a boat, a hike and a swim to reach but it’s worth the trek as 99 per cent of users still gave the beach a thumbs up.
While it was voted best beach in Australia in 2014, the white sands of Whitehaven Beach ranked ninth on the world list, slipping from last year’s fifth place. However, Whitehaven still rates as Australia and the South Pacific’s best beach.
One reviewed described it as “divine” adding “White means exactly that! Sand is like sugar! Under the sun, you must use dark glasses. Do not miss it if you go to Whitsundays coast.”
