Terrifying moment man faints and falls onto train tracks

A Sydney man had a very lucky escape after he fainted and fell onto the train tracks at a busy city station.

The terrifying incidents happened earlier in September at Sydney’s Wynyard Station but the video was shown for the first time last night on 7 News.

The horrifying footage shows the moment the man, dressed in blue, appears to faint and tumble head-first in front of an incoming train. He lies unconscious across the railway, before staff and passengers quickly rush to his aid.

Six men jumped onto the tracks to help the man while staff frantically contacted the drivers on the approaching train.

An officer wearing a high-visibility vest immediately uses the emergency stop signal to stop the incoming train. The train eventually pulls up just short of the platform.

The man in question escaped with only a few injuries, including a cut to his head and some bruising to his shoulder.
