Baked spice custard

The traditional baked custard has been a favourite for years. Why not try one this weekend with a few added spices?

Ingredients:

  • 1 litre pouring cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks, extra
  • ¾ cup caster sugar, superfine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nutmeg, for sprinkling
