Green beans with toasted almonds

Simple, tasty and healthy – what more could you want from a side dish?

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 600g fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Toasted slivered or sliced almonds, for garnish

Method:

1. Cook green beans in 2 centimetres of boiling water for around 10 minutes. Drain beans and return pan to heat.

2. Add oil and butter to pan. Toss beans in pan. Season with salt.

3. Garnish with toasted slivered or sliced almonds.
