Triple chocolate pancakes

Bringing a cocoa twist to the breakfast classic, these chocolate pancakes are delicious enough to make anyone a morning person.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cups of milk
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 cups of self-raising flour
  • ⅓ of a cup of caster sugar
  • 25g of butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder mix
  • ½ cup of dark cooking chocolate
  • ⅓ cup of chocolate chips

Method:

  1. Melt butter and chocolate over hot water until lightly melted. Remove from heat, stir, and let cool.
  2. In a bowl, combine egg, milk and vanilla and whisk. In another bowl, sift baking powder and flour together and add sugar.
  3. Add milk mixture to the dry mixture and whisk together.
  4. Add chocolate chips, chocolate and butter, and chocolate mix to above and stir until combined.
  5. On a buttered, non-stick frying pan over medium heat, pour small amounts of pancake mix. Cook until bubbles have begun to form and flip. Repeat.
