Rosemary olive oil bread

This flavourful bread is perfect to add a little variety to your meal, or just as an afternoon snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary (OR 2 ½ teaspoons dried rosemary)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Pinch of dried oregano
  • Pinch of ground garlic
  • Pinch of dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups white whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup bread flour
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary, for garnish
