90-year-old forgoes cancer treatment to travel
To say Norma had a bad 2015 would be an understatement. Over the course of a week she lost her husband of 67 years and discovered she had a cancerous mass in her uterus.
Doctors offered the standard range of treatments (surgery, radiation, chemo) but the 90-year-old who weighed barely more than 45 kilograms had other ideas.
"I'm ninety years old. I'm hitting the road," Norma told doctors
And she’s been exploring the US ever since.
