Teenager buys Aussie mansion for $4.95 million

An 18-year-old student is now the proud new owner of a French-inspired mansion in Dural, NSW.

CoreLogic and NSW Land Registry Services records have revealed that Shuxin Zhou — the daughter of Chinese businessman Jianming Zhou, paid $4.95m for the seven-bedroom, two hectare home.

She paid $3,274,500 above the Dural median house price.

Interestingly enough, the expansive property is not the teenager’s first foray into expensive homes, nor is it her biggest.

The Dural purchase is more of a downsize move for Zhou, who lives with her mother.

Ms Zhou sold a landmark $11.5m mansion in Warrawee on the upper north shore in December of 2020.

The seven-bedroom home was built almost 30 years ago for Mazda car dealer John Newell and has a 1100-bottle wine cellar, a tennis court and a luxurious pool.

Among many other incredible features, the Dural home has a cobbled driveway, a cool room, a spacious butlers pantry, sauna and numerous formal and informal living areas.

There is also a commercial style laundry, sauna, home office, a detached workshop and a gym.
