“Say it to my face”: Novak Djokovic confronts Aus Open hecklers

<p dir="ltr">Novak Djokovic has confronted rowdy Australian Open audience members, saying the “tough guy” in the crowd “crossed the line” with his unsolicited commentary. </p> <p dir="ltr">The Serbian tennis player was on his way to a victory against Aussie player Alexei Popyrin when he got caught in a verbal altercation with a spectator. </p> <p dir="ltr">The frustrated defending grand slam champion was heard during the match yelling, "Come here and say it to my face" to a fan seated behind him at Rod Laver Arena.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Come here! Come here!" Djokovic could be heard yelling in response to the mouthy spectator. </p> <p dir="ltr">During his post-match press conference after the match win, the world No.1 elaborated on the clash with the spectator, telling the media he won't tolerate such behaviour from disrespectful audience members</p> <p dir="ltr">"I mean, you don't want to know [what he said]. There were a lot of things that were being told to me on the court, particularly from that corner, and the same side the other corner. I was tolerating it for most of the match," Djokovic said.</p> <p dir="ltr">"At one point I had enough, and I asked him whether he wants to come down and tell it to my face. Unfortunately for him, he didn't have the courage to come down.</p> <p dir="ltr">"That's what I was asking him. If you have courage, if you're such a tough man, tough guy, come down and tell it to my face, and let's have a discussion about it.”</p> <p dir="ltr">"He was apologising from far away. That's all it is."</p> <p dir="ltr">"I'm not going to sit and say 'it's all good'. It's not good," he said.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Of course, it upsets me. I'm frustrated. I don't want to be experiencing that, but I have to accept it as it is.”</p> <p dir="ltr">"Sometimes I don't tolerate when somebody crosses the line. That's it."</p> <p dir="ltr">The veteran player declared he would continue to "confront" patrons who attempted to throw him off his game, saying, "I was feeling a lot of mixed emotions today on the court. "I'm glad you're resigning": Kochie's run-in with a heckler

<p>David Koch has shared the details of a nasty altercation he had with a stranger after announcing his departure from <em>Sunrise</em>. </p> <p>Kochie <a href="https://oversixty.com.au/news/news/the-world-s-best-job-kochie-quits-sunrise" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> on Monday that he would be leaving the Channel Seven breakfast show after 20 years in the hosting chair. </p> <p>The response to his shock resignation has been mostly positive and supportive, as famous friends and loyal viewers have flooded online spaces with well wishes for the veteran TV presenter. </p> <p>However, Kochie shared that after taping had finished for Monday morning's show, he was approached by a heckler on the street while walking with his wife, Libby.</p> <p>“In all of that lovely euphoria, this is just life, I’m walking to lunch with Lib and walked by a bloke and he goes, ‘I’m glad you’re resigning, you are just a paid mouthpiece for Big Pharma’,” Koch said.</p> <p>“An anti-vaxxer. He started yelling at me across the road. Grace under pressure: Princess Kate heckled in Ireland

"You suck!": Gladys heckled in the street by a child

<p>NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has revealed she was heckled in the street by a "young kid" who yelled: "You suck!"</p> <p>Sitting down with Kyle and Jackie O, Berejiklian said she took the taunt in stride.</p> <p>"It's a bit of fun," she said, as she accepted that such incidents came with the territory.</p> <p>Berejiklian told the KIIS radio hosts about the heckler after radio host Jackie Henderson said she’d never met anyone who didn’t like the Premier.</p> <p>“That’s not true,” Berejiklian said.</p> <p>“The other day, someone yelled at me, it was very funny … I like to walk a lot, and it was during lunchtime in the city.</p> <p>“There were hundreds of people out there and then this young kid rolls down his window and he yells, ‘Gladys you s-u-c-k’,” the Premier continued, spelling out the word suck.</p> <p>“I just said to my team, ‘We’re driving on the way back.”</p> <p>Berejiklian was asked about a number of topics in the lighthearted interview, including her own take on alcohol and cannabis.</p> <p>The Premier said she’d lived a relatively “sheltered” life and had never drunk enough alcohol to have a hangover.</p> <p>“I’m just being honest, I’m kind of in the very, very, very, very, very small minority,” she said.</p> <p>“Like, all my family members have had those rites of passage, which I’ve not had, because I didn’t really, it wasn’t me … I’ve been a little bit sheltered in that regard.”</p> <p>She also said her views on legalising cannabis in NSW has not changed.</p> <p>Her government recently shot down a proposed new drug regime whereby the punishment for low-level drug possession would be eased.</p> <p>“No, it’s status quo,” she said of her opinion on the matter.</p>
