8 breathtaking images of the mighty brumby
<p>Running free and unencumbered in some of the most scenic parts of Australia, brumbies are fascinating creatures that have an interesting role in the national psyche.</p>
<p>And as you can see in the gallery above, they’re beautiful.</p>
<p>In a photo essay for <em>Australian Geographic</em>, <a href="http://www.jasonedwardsphotography.com/" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Jason Edwards</strong></span></a> flew his helicopter into some of the least accessible parts of Kosciusko National Park to observe these wild horse.</p>
<p>There’s something incredible about these images. The movement of the horses combined with the desolate beauty of the Australian landscape makes a memorable shot.</p>
