Lisa Wilkinson slams Meghan Markle's new project

<p>Lisa Wilkinson slammed Meghan Markle's latest business venture on Tuesday night's episode of<span> </span><em>The Project</em>.</p> <p>Markle, 39, invested in a Californian female-founded business that makes superfood lattes.</p> <p>The business, Clevr Blends, produces instant coffee sachets, including chai, match, coffee and turmeric lattes that have a focus on wellness.</p> <p>Wilkinson offered her two cents on the issue.</p> <p>“I admired the fact that she couldn’t care less what the trolls think. Good for her. She is supporting an all-female run business," she began.</p> <p>“If I was Meghan and Harry, I’d go quiet. I’d go off and make really good documentaries for Netflix. Little side line things don’t help.”</p> <p>Markle isn't the first celebrity to endorse the company after a video by Oprah making herself a drink using one of the company's sachets went viral.</p> <p>Markle has also endorsed the company publicly in a statement obtained by Fox News.</p> <p>“This investment is in support of a passionate female entrepreneur who prioritises building community alongside her business,” Meghan wrote in a statement.</p> <p>“I’m proud to invest in Hannah’s commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and has a holistic approach to wellness. I believe in her and I believe in her company.”</p> <p>This isn't the only venture the former royals are embracing, with the pair creating Netflix content.</p> <p>The<span> </span><em>New York Times</em><span> </span>broke the news, with an earnest quote from the couple themselves saying: “Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.”</p>
