Accommodation
Live among the trees an hour from Melbourne with Airbnb

We’ve seen countless tree house transformations on Airbnb. Unfortunately, many of these are too far from our modest country Island to reach for a quick weekend away.
This Victorian treehouse, however, is located in Olinda in the Dandenong Ranges around a one-hour drive from Melbourne city.
Enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings in a unique home among the tree’s, overlooking two acres of gardens with wonderful views of the Silvan valley below.
The listing offers a private room in the home of Graeme and Sheila, two retirees that love sharing their exotic haven with travellers. They also have two friendly poodles and two Bengal cats, and are happy to show you around, or leave you to enjoy the space on your own.
The room is cosy and private with an ensuite, queen sized bed, separate entrance and your own outdoor seating area.
The top floor of the house has a large lounge with a romantic open fire, bar, dining area and a comfortable sofa, and a kitchen/family room with eating area.
Nearby, you will find a treasure trove of boutique shopping and a quaint, small town lifestyle. There is also an excellent choice of wineries at your doorstep, with the Yarra Valley just 30 minutes away.
